Welcome letter

I am delighted to be able to share with you what we do at Beeford CE(VC) Primary School through our new web site.
As Headteacher I am tremendously proud of the school; all our staff are incredibly devoted, our parents work tirelessly to support the school, our Governors take a real interest in the life of the school, and our children are wonderful in just about every way imaginable.
I know from personal experience that a successful primary education is the foundation for life-long learning.I believe every child, whatever their circumstances, has the right to learn.
At Beeford we create a safe, welcoming learning environment that
recognises that children have many and varied intelligences. We provide opportunities for children to participate in many experiences both in and out of school.
We take extremely seriously the development of emotional security and stability within all our children so they are able to communicate, think, collaborate and make decisions.
Staff here seek to develop strong individuals and team players who are assertive without being aggressive; individuals who feel good about themselves and their abilities.
We seek to establish a culture within school where we are respected as individuals and are able to work within the needs of the institution. We are all responsible for and accountable for our own behaviour.
Our school follows the Christian traditions but utilises the power of ICT to be aware of the world in which we live; we seek virtual links to the world, but also remember the experience we have on our doorstep.
We see parents, Governors and the wider community as partners to be consulted and worked with. We strive to describe our ideas to these groups and actively seek their help and support, enabling them to say with pride;
‘My children go to Beeford’
Mark Sutcliffe, Headteacher.
