Achieve economic well-being

  • A key component of our developing curriculum is the acquisition of basic skills- life literacy  and numeracy. Teachers stress these whenever appropriate to do so.
  • Study skills, transferable between all areas of the national curriculum, are also stressed.
  • IT skills are taught in addition to IT being embedded in the wider curriculum.
  • Vegetables grown in our garden may be sold through small sales or fund raisers etc..
  • An extra-curricular club (The cash club) is run by the Headteacher for gifted and talented children. These students liaise with local businesses and apply for grants to raise money for school funds.

The children enjoyed a visit by the Education Business Partnership.  The visit promoted business and enterprise in schools.  It gave the children a flavour of the world of business.
