Be Healthy

These are just some of the ways our school ensures our children are healthy:

We participate in the '5-a-day fruit' scheme.

Our main charity fund raiser this year was 'Jump Rope for Hearts'- setting off a new craze for skipping.

Mrs Harris runs football and netball clubs and all the staff work to ensure children have their full entitlement to 2 hours of quality PE a week.

We are constantly seeking the best and most nutritious food for our school meals.

One of the key elements of our whole-school curriculum is a focus on positive choices for diet and fitness.

Every year we participate in ' Fruity Friday', where the children learn about the health-giving benefits of fruit.

We have made a huge investment in our outdoor play space to encourage healthy play.

Our year 6 pupils recieve sex education advice from our school nurse.

School has installed a water cooler and our PTFA bought a water bottle for every child.

We are moving strongly towards the completion of the ‘Healthy School’s’ award.

The children enjoy healthy cooking each week.
